The season for two-year-old trotting colt Private Access didn't end at the Breeders Crown, as the rookie flashed some solid speed during the session of qualifiers on Friday, Nov. 10 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Private Access was last in action two weeks ago in the 2023 Breeders Crown final, finishing a solid fourth after winning his elimination (shown above) for owner Determination, trainer Luc Blais and driver Louis-Philippe Roy.
Chris Christoforou got the call for the Friday morning tune-up, and he patiently placed Private Access mid-pack in fifth while Buck Dancer (Don Johnson) trotted through fractions of :29.3, :58.4 and 1:28.2. The Hall of Fame pilot dropped Private Access into a gapped pocket heading around the swooping far turn before angling out in the stretch to confidently trot past the tempo-setter. Closing in :28.4, Private Access was nearly four lengths the best in his qualifier with the mile timed in 1:57.3.
The Valley Victory-eligible Private Access (Muscle Hill - Open Access) sports a 2-1-1 summary from eight appearances with $78,800 in earnings.
