Covered in the outer flow, Acefortyfourdome stormed home to capture the Thursday evening (Nov. 10) feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Driver Jason Hughes had Acefortyfourdome unhurried at the beginning of the $3,200 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace, sponsored by Lowther Refrigeration Ltd. The daughter of Up The Credit got away fifth. Plain Jane (Ken Murphy) was fired up at the beginning, going to front and leading through fractions of :27.4 and :56.1 before her stablemate Dreamfair Zenfire (Marc Campbell) came calling first-over with Acefortyfourdome on her back second-over. Three-quarters were reached in a snappy 1:24.4 by Dreamfair Zenfire before Acefortyfourdome took over in the final stanza to win by three-quarters of a length over Tobins Brownie (David Dowling) while Dreamfair Zenfire completed the triactor ticket in third. Hughes trains the winning mare for owner Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I.

Mile Hill Willie led at every call to win the $2,800 Open Trot in Race 6. The six-year-old Armbro Barrister stallion left hard from post five and cut every fraction on his way to a 1:58.4 victory for driver Corey MacPherson, trainer and co-owner Paul Morrison of Cardigan and co-owner John Breau of Shediac Cape, N.B. Incredible Two (Kenny Arsenaut) sling-shotted in the stretch to reach up for second while favourite Freddie (Marc Campbell) finished third.

The program was the final Thursday evening card of the season at Red Shores Charlottetown with racing continuing Saturday and Sundays with 12:30 p.m. (EST) opening post times.
