Longshot players were celebrating after the horses crossed the finish of MGM Northfield Park’s sixth race on Tuesday when Beamer N Bud won at odds of nearly 54-1.
Charles and Christopher Krummick of Chicago, Illinois own the six-year-old pacing mare. Steven Weiss trains Beamer N Bud and Kurt Sugg was aboard for the winning drive. Tuesday’s triumph was the first win this year for the horse and marks her eighth lifetime score.
Beamer N Bud was followed across the wire by Squirt (91-1), Roberts New Life (42-1) and Pictonian Dazzle (116-1).
Beamer N Bud returned $110.60 to win, the Exacta paid $4,212.60, the 5-8-2 Trifecta returned $18,023.00 and the 5-8-2-6 20¢ Superfecta paid $5,614.76.
