It has been announced that the connections of six horses have supplemented their charges to the upcoming Breeders Crown.

A trio of sophomore filly pacers – Colors A Virgin, Sayitall BB and Weeper – a pair of mare pacers – Yagonnakissmeornot and Venus Delight – and three-year-old colt pacer Always B Miki were supplemented to their respective Breeders Crown divisions by the noon deadline on Monday, November 10.

The $5.4 million Breeders Crown events will be contested on Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J.

With the three-year-old colt pace division still seeking a leader, Always B Miki (Always A Virgin- Artstopper) will try to seize the top spot with a victory in the Breeders Crown. The cost to supplement to the three-year-old colt pace is $62,500.

The Indiana-bred is trained by Joe Holloway, who won this division with Jennas Beach Boy in 1995, and is owned by Bluewood Stable, Val D’Or Farms and Roll The Dice Stable. Always B Miki has won 11 of 18 races this year and $778,982. He is coming off a win in the Monument Circle, and other recent victories include the Indiana Sire Stakes championship and a division of the Tattersalls Pace.

Always B Miki’s half-sister, Yagonnakissmeornot (The Panderosa-Artstopper) has made $476,218 this year for owners Allard Racing, Yves Sarrazin and Kapildeo Singh, meriting a $31,250 supplemental entry to the Crown Mare Pace.

Bamond Racing has won the last three Breeders Crown Mare Pace events as owner of Shelliscape and Anndrovette (twice) and will try for a fourth with Venus Delight (Bettors Delight-Venus Killean), a four-year-old purchased in August for trainer P.J. Fraley. Venus Delight is coming off a win in the open handicap for fillies and mares at Yonkers Raceway on November 7.

Anndrovette and Shelliscape are among the eligible mares to the Crown Mare Pace, now with a purse of $281,250.

Jugette winner Colors A Virgin (Always A Virgin-Full Color) is the top money-winner in her division with $472,622 on the season and needs to “defend her honour” says owner Bruce Trogdon, who paid $62,500 to supplement his filly in the Crown.

Joining her as a supplemental entry will be Matron winner Weeper (Allamerican Native-Pleasant Yet Bad), owned by Bay Pond Racing and trained by Kelly O’Donnell, and Sayitall BB (Tell All-Challo BB) from the Burke Racing Stable and Weaver-Bruscemi roster. O’Donnell captured this division in 1985 with Stienam.

Half of all supplemental fees are added to respective purses. The three-year-old colt pace and filly purses will be $531,250 and $593,750, respectively.

Regular entries for eligible trotters and pacers are due by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, in a double draw at the Meadowlands race office for the weekend events. There are no supplemental provisions for two-year-old races.

The finalists for the 12 Breeders Crown finals will be determined through elimination races this Friday and Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
