Toby Lynch, Jr.’s Sunshine Superman notched an off-the-pace win in the featured $22,000 Open Monday at Harrington Raceway for driver Jason Lynch in 1:53.1.

The five-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding, who was sent off at 13-1, was claimed earlier in the year for his new connections and picked up his first career Open level win with a surging three-wide move on the final turn where he gathered momentum and outkicked pacesetter Wind Me Up for the win. Dancin Yankee was third.

Trained by Toby Lynch, it was the sixth win of the year for Sunshine Superman.

Drivers Tony Morgan and Jim Morand each won three races on the program.

Morgan has won 31 races over the past 10 racing programs at Harrington.

Racing continues on a Monday through Thursday schedule until closing night on Monday October 29.
