Ontario's top two-year-old trotting filly Bee A Magician earned her second Gold trophy with a 1:55.3 winning effort in her last $130,000 Ontario Sires Stakes final of the season on Tuesday night at Georgian Downs.

Fresh off a 1:55 track and Canadian record performance in last week's elimination round, Bee A Magician came within three-fifths of a second of that mark tonight.

Angies Lucky Star (Trevor Henry) charged to the lead off the gate and posted a :27.4 opening quarter while Charmed Life (Paul MacDonell) broke stride from the pocket along with Seeuinthespring (Anthony MacDonald) in third. Zorgwijk Nova (Jody Jamieson) and elimination winner Motown Muscle (Mario Baillargeon) inherited the second and third spots while Bee A Magician (Rick Zeron) followed in fourth.

As Angies Lucky Star approached the half in :58.3, Motown Muscle advanced first up with Bee A Magician following her cover. Motown Muscle made it up to the leader's saddle pad by the 1:27 third quarter mark, but Bee A Magician was full of trot and swept three-wide around that filly. Meanwhile, Zorgwijk Nova broke stride in the final turn.

Down the stretch, Bee A Magician rolled right by Angies Lucky Star and opened up two lengths on the tempo-setter to win in 1:55.3. Angies Lucky Star stayed for second while Motown Muscle came in third nine lengths behind.

Bee A Magician paid $2.90 to win as the 1-2 favourite.

Purchased for $90,000 at the Harrisburg Sale, the Kadabra-Beehive filly has won nine of her 11 career starts while banking over half a million dollars for owners Melvin Hartman of Ottawa, Ont., Herb Liverman of Miami Beach, Florida, and David McDuffee of Delray Beach, Florida.

The Richard 'Nifty' Norman trainee won her first Gold Final in August 9 at Mohawk Racetrack, followed by a division of the Champlain Stakes on August 30 and the Peaceful Way Stakes elimination and final in early September.
