The wins are piling up for pacer C L Art Magic, who was the handiest kind of winner in his Thursday evening as Woodbine Racetrack for the tandem of driver Sylvain Filion and trainer Stephane Larocque.
After starting the year 3-for-3 at Rideau Carleton Raceway, the four-year-old son of Artistic Fella-Mado Magic has shipped west and posted back-to-back wins at the Rexdale, ON oval.
C L Art Magic shot the lead from Post 2 in his Thursday assignment, and he successfully led the field through fractions of :25.4, :54.4 and 1:23.4 before using a :29.2 closing quarter to win by 1-1/4 lengths over Kona Kid. Third prize went to On The Rocks.
The homebred is owned by Ecuries C Leblanc Inc of Saint-Eustache and Sebastien Girouard of Laval, QC. The seven-time winner has banked $31,433 to date.
