The Peterborough Examiner has run a brief profile piece on veteran horseman Doug Hie, who recorded his 2,500th career driving win this past weekend.
The piece explains how Hie was born into the business and how it is a family affair for him. It also explains how the industry took him all down the eastern seaboard, but it also notes that Hie opted to lay some roots down in the Fraserville area when he bought a farm close to Kawartha Downs back in 1974.
"This is just something that is in your blood and you love doing it," Hie said
