After posting back-to-back second-place finishes against Preferred foes at Flamboro Downs, Cimeronken took his show on the road to London and came away with a solid victory in Tuesday’s Preferred 3 for trotters.
Billy Davis, Jr. wasted no time in hustling the Daryl Roberts-trained Cimeronken to the lead, and after whacking out panels of :29.2, 1:00 and 1:30.2 over a track rated ‘good’ with a two-second variant he used a :30.4 closing panel to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Just One Day in 2:01.1. Third prize was earned by Stolen Goods.
The five-year-old son of Ken Warkentin-Ms Biynka has produced a 5-10-1 record from 22 starts this season after going 8-for-27 last year. The career winner of $174,030 is a homebred owned by Denise Anderson of Dorchester, Ontario.
