Driver Gilles Barrieau has built a career on ground-saving journeys and the Thursday evening (Oct. 6) feature was no exception as he notched career win No. 4,998 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The Jeff Lilley-trained Ubettimagoodone sat the pocket in the Race 9 $2,850 featured pace in line to Gilles Barrieau and took the garden trip to a 1:56.4 neck decision. Pacesetter Elm Grove Mistress (Driven by David Dowling) was second while race favourite Filly Forty Seven (Marc Campbell) was third. Lilley co-owns the winning mare with Marc Gallant, Blair MacLauchlan and Knox Pavlatos.

Barrieau also won earlier on the card with Labero in a 2:00.4 trot race for win No. 4,997 for the New Brunswick driver from the Randy Van Meer stable.

Campbell had a driving quadruple winning with Maggiesdelight (1:56.4 winning mile time) for trainer Michelle Myers, Magical Cowgirl (1:57.4) for Stanley Harper, Steelmeatreasure (1:57.1) from the Colin Johnson barn and Plain Jane (1:57.2) from his own Orwell stable.

Thats Mia Bad won the championship final division "B" for driver Zac Noye in 2:00.4. It was Noye’s first season of driving and first appearance in the championship finals. The eight-year-old mare is owned by Mary Jean Noye and Tash MacKenzie.
