The race office staff opted to handicap Friday’s edition of the Fillies & Mares Preferred for pacers, and despite starting front the outside of the starting gate Kendall Seelster rolled to a facile score in the $30,000 affair.

Leaving from Post 8, Jody Jamieson floated Kendall Seelster into the five-hole while Double A Mint roared to the top and carved out a wicked quarter of :25.4. Things simmered down in the second quarter as Double A Mint used a :29.1 second panel to get the field down to the half in :55.

Jamieson was on the move first over with Kendall Seelster on the way to the mid-way point, and he was at the flank of Double A Mint at the three-quarter pole in 1:23.2. Kendall Seelster eventually collared the leader and then drew clear to win by 3-3/4 lengths over Double A Mint in 1:50.3. Roll With Sparky rounded out the Trifecta ticket.

Sent off as the even-money favourite, the Rod Boyd-trained four-year-old daughter of Shadow Play-Kiddie Cocktail picked up her sixth win of the season from just 18 trips to the track. The 19-time winner pushed her lifetime earnings over $880,000 with the win.
