Atlantic Classic Sale Highlights

The 2018 edition of the Atlantic Classic was held Friday at the Crapaud Exhibition Grounds and the yearling sale was another record-setting day.

The sale topper was the Credit Winner colt Mack Truck, who was purchased by Donna Van Meer of Ontario for $26,000. This was an Atlantic record for a trotter. This handsome colt was consigned by Meridian Farms of Milton, PE.

The top selling pacer was the Malicious colt Saulsbrook Rocky, who was purchased by Peter Smith of Stratford, PE for $24,500. This colt was consigned by Allan McNeil of Windsor, NS.

The top selling pacing filly, Camco Terra, was also purchased by Peter Smith for $18,500, and was consigned by Blair Campbell of North Wiltshire, PE.

"The trot prices reflected the tremendous support of the regional trot stakes program by Meridian Farms," stated Sale Manager Wayne Pike.

The top selling trotting filly was Dusty Lane Manney selling for $8,000 to Al McNeil of Nova Scotia. The consignor was Ronnie and Dianne Gass of Dusty Lane Farms of Cornwall, PE.
