Home Front topped the fourth 2012 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale session on Friday night at the Fasig-Tipton Sale Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky.

Selling as Hip 464, Home Front garnered a $100,000 bid from Bjorn Noren, agent for Courant AB of Jobstown, New Jersey. The Yankee Glide-Little Ms Queenie colt is a full-brother to Knight Of Intrigue ($205,885 - 1:54.4) and Littlemscantbwrong ($120,440 - 1:55.2).

Serena De Vie, Hip 426, was the second highest priced yearling of the night. The Glidemaster-Dream Angel filly was purchased for $65,000 by W. J. Donovan of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Serena De Vie is a half-sister to Oasis Dream (184,652 - 1:54) while her $231,696-earning dam is a half-sibling to Dream Vacation ($616,257 - 1:52).

Ideal Magic, Hip 455, rounded out the top three yearlings with a $52,000 price tag. He was purchased by Tony Alagna, agent for John Fodera of Staten Island, New York. The American Ideal colt is out of Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Special Magic ($451,945). Ideal Magic is a half-brother of Master Of Desire ($166,410 - 1:50.1) and Smooth Silver($145,744 - 1:51.4).

Friday night's session featured Hips 421 through 570. A total of 145 yearlings sold for $2,455,000, resulting in average price of $16,931. Last year, 172 yearlings sold during the fourth session for $3,088,000, with an average price of $17,953.

The final session of the sale will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m.
