According to a report, it was today announced that multiple offers have been placed to take over the stalled Lawrence County, Pennsylvania racino project

.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported that Centaur Inc., who holds the gaming license for the project, has received multiple offers to take over the project.

An auction for the license, which will be overseen by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, is scheduled to take place October 20 in Delaware.

Centaur was forced to relinquish the racing license due to bankruptcy reorganization.

"We are pleased by the interest levels expressed during the bidding process," a Centaur spokeswoman said via statement. "With that process completed, an auction scheduled for October 20 is the next important milestone toward the transfer of ownership of the Valley View Downs project. To help ensure that the competitive landscape of the auction process remains intact, we will refrain from providing additional specifics at this time."
