Rose Run Xplosion took the $17,000 featured conditioned claiming pace on the Wednesday (Oct. 4) evening card at Dayton Raceway.
Leaving from post five, Rose Run Xplosion led wire to wire through fractions of :27.1, :55.4 and 1:23.3 to score the fastest mile of the night in 1:51.2. Rose Run Xplosion is trained by Phil Belanger and contributed to a driving double for Chris Page.
Longshot Jack Wacker, off at odds of 20-1, split through horses to win the first leg of the Pick 5, which had a guaranteed pool of $10,000. Driven by Brett Miller for trainer Greg Henderson, Jack Wacker nosed out Fast Freddy Jo Jo and Smile Today in a photo in 1:53.1.
Dayton Raceway will host a $12,815 carryover with a guaranteed Pick 5 Pool of $25,000 on the Thursday, Oct. 5 card. The Pick 5 is available in races two through six. Post time for Thursday is at 4 p.m.
