Tim Tetrick drove five of the first six winners on the Tuesday card at Dover Downs, but he did click on more time to bring his win total to six on the card.
The program also saw Celebrity Pegasus capture the $25,000 Open Trot for driver Art Stafford, Jr.
Celebrity Pegasus, who set the track record of 1:52 in the final feature trot last season picked right up coming on in the stretch to overtake front-trotting Theresademoninme (Jonathan Roberts) for a 1:56.2 triumph off a track listed as ‘good.’ Murmur Hanover (Vic Kirby) was an early leader in the field of seven and held on for third.
In the $13,000 sub-feature Winners-Over trot, I Like My Boss, a former Delaware-bred champion made it two-in-a-row with Vic Kirby chalking up a 1:55.1 decision. Tymal Signature (Ross Wolfenden) closed strongly to finish second with Classical Belisima (Stafford, Jr.) third.
Tim Tetrick managed to take the checkered flag with Burn Brighter (1:56.3), Gentlemens Bet (1:57), Mr Varsity (1:55), Newsday (1:56.3), Lillisbagsrpacked (1:58.4) and Evolution Tour (1:57).
The six-win performance leaves Tetrick just 15 wins shy of 10,000 lifetime victories. He’s also closing in on $190,000,000 in career earnings.
