Wishing Stone, the international trotting winner of over $2-million that started his 2013 campaign in March, seems to be ready to keep going on with his season, as some lucrative Free For All opportunities loom on the horizon.
On Thursday, October 31, Wishing Stone stayed sharp with a 1:55.4 qualifying win at Pocono Downs.
Matt Kakaley guided the six-year-old son of Conway Hall to the lead just past the quarter and kept him rolling from there for trainer Ron Burke. Wishing Stone snapped home with a :28.1 final quarter.
In another qualifying dash at Pocono, the Ray Schnittker-trained juvenile Stevensville rallied from the pocket and upended the highly-regarded Western Vintage by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.
