Camera Lady roared from the pocket into the final turn, overwhelmed the leader and notched a convincing victory in Wednesday’s (Oct. 30) $20,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace at The Meadows, leading a training triple for Ron Burke.

Godiva Seelster held a tentative lead as the field readied for the stretch drive, but Camera Lady erased it in a heartbeat. The five-year-old daughter of Dragon Again and Ann Van Go scored in 1:51.4 for Ronnie Wrenn Jr., 2-1/2 lengths better than Sandy Win. Cult Icon rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains Camera Lady, who soared over $400,000 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Jim Pantaleano, Mike Wilder and Burke each fashioned a triple on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Friday (Nov. 1) when the program features a $15,025.63 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 1:05 p.m.
