Claiming Action Heats Up In 'Summit'

Shes Fly N soared home to win the fastest of four $5,600 fifth leg divisions of the Barrie Ford Summit Series for $6,000 claiming pacers on Sunday night at Georgian

Downs.

Driven by Sylvain Filion for trainer Joe Agostino, Shes Fly N recorded her first series win and fastest of the fifth leg divisions after sitting third for most of the mile and rallying home to nose out Laurel Canyon in 1:54.3. Brad Gray of Dundas, Ont. owns the eight-year-old Northern Luck mare.

The other three divisions went in 1:55 flat with the repeat winners all changing hands.

Second leg winner Indiana Lucky front stepped his way to another series win for driver Anthony MacDonald, trainer Paul Reid and owner Scott Maracle of Brantford, Ont. The eight-year-old son of Northern Luck was claimed for $6,000 by Quebec owners Rene Allard and Gilles Fleury.

Xlr Ray Shun King went wire-to-wire to win for the second straight time in the series for driver Steve Byron, trainer James Belanger and owner Sylvie Belanger of Azilda, Ont. The eight-year-old son of Western Ideal will now enter into the care of Sudbury's Jay Polifroni after being claimed for $6,000.

Rods Famous Ribs made his third start in the series and fought off Cracker Stoney for his third win with Simon Allard driving for trainer Des Tackoor and owner Edward Hayman of Ajax, Ont. The six-year-old son of Hi Ho Silverheels was claimed from the first leg for $6,000 by Hayman and will now move into the care of Hanover's William Brown after being claimed for $6,000.
