A trio of $20,000 divisions were hosted as part of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund series for two-year-old pacing fillies on the Tuesday (Oct. 3) program at Harrington Raceway.
The fastest division was the last as Slipinsidewayz ($8.40) and Victor Kirby were the wire-to-wire winners in 1:57.3 over American Marvel and Novas Baby Girl. The Badlands Hanover filly notched her first career win for trainer and owner Bryan Truitt.
Bob Shahan's Jett Propelled ($49.60) and Art Stafford Jr. sprung an upset in the first division with a 1:59.3 win over Amelia Maximus and Salma. The Roddys Bags Again filly was making her third career start and scored her maiden victory. Race favourite Curtsyforpurrseco made a break after the start and finished fourth.
Bellas Dream ($8.80) and Pat Berry won the second split in 1:58.1 over Designs On You and Seamsalilsassy. The Dream Away filly chased down pacesetting favourite Designs On You to score her first career win for trainer Steve Leblanc and owners Leblanc Racing, Count De Money Stable, William Lutz and Douglas Johnson.
Harrington Raceway will feature the $110,000 DSBF finals next week (Oct. 9-11) as the top eight point earners from each division will return.
Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until Oct. 18.
