According to a report, arbitration is going to be needed to settle the ongoing thoroughbred simulcasting dispute between the Maryland Jockey Club and Penn National
Gaming Inc.
An article by The Daily Record states that the two parties were to have worked out an agreement by Saturday, October 1 in order to allow Rosecroft Raceway to have the go-ahead to simulcast thoroughbred racing.
An agreement on the issue is needed in order for the state to relinquish operating subsidies for racetracks in 2012.
