It was a productive Thursday night at the Rideau Carleton Raceway office for trainer John MacMillan who celebrated a three-win performance on the 10-race card.
MacMillan kicked off the card by sending out Race 1 winner Bronson. The gelding was a gate-to-wire winner for driver Richard Simard in 1:55.3.
Keystone Prestige gave MacMillan his second winner on the program thanks to a come-from-behind tally for driver Rodney La Framboise in Race 8. The gelding covered the mile in 1:58.3.
In the very next race it was stablemate Asa Im Ready coming up with a narrow triumph in 1:58.3 for driver Stephane Brosseau.
The three-win performance lifted MacMillan’s yearly win total to 41 while his lifetime total jumped to 1,611. He’s stashed away more than $200,000 in earnings this season and more than $9 million to date.
