Three sets of two-year-old fillies reconvened on Monday, Oct. 27 at Woodbine Mohawk Park for second leg of the Harvest Series with Annies Diva leading all $20,000 divisions as the swiftest winner.
The Harvest Series hosts Ontario-sired two-year-old fillies that were non-winners of $30,000 in 2025 as of Sept. 30, 2025.
Annies Diva ($6.70) was the first up to the plate for the series action on the evening and she used a pocket trip to victory against her field of five other pacing filly challengers.
Trevor Henry and the Michael Kwietniowski student pressed from post five to the top, achieving early pylon position and parking out favoured Savour The Moment (Travis Henry) to the opening quarter in :27.4. Savour The Moment moved into position on the front and set the half in :57 and three-quarters in 1:25.2 while Annies Diva maintained her spot in second. Down the stretch, Annies Diva made her final move, powering to a win by a measured half-length in a blanket finish in 1:54 over Regil Whitesocks (James MacDonald) in second and Savour The Moment in third.
Annies Diva, a daughter of Cattlewash and the Western Terror mare Triple Charm, is owned by Susanne MacKeigan of Albert Bridge, N.S. She recorded her third triumph in 11 starts and now shows $29,790 in the bank to go along with her new career mark of 1:54.
Malicia Speed ($7.80) won the other division for pacing fillies with Travis Cullen in tow for Jodie Cullen.
Leaving from post five, Malicia Speed secured the lead swiftly, leading every panel through quarters in :27.2, :58 and 1:26.4 before winning by a half-length in 1:54.1. Playsomethingsweet (Doug McNair) finished second with Favoritism (James MacDonald) third.
Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. owns the daughter of Cattlewash out of the Art Major mare Ms Malicious. In 14 starts in her young career, the triumph was her first to go along with two seconds and three thirds and a sum of now $42,418.
In the lone trotting filly division, TH Trix R Forkids ($9.90), driven by Trevor Henry for trainer Murray Brethour, popped the pocket just in time to win at odds of 4-1.
Love Wins (J.R. Plante) cut the mile from post eight with fractions timed in :27.1, :57.4 and 1:27.4. Following Plante's helmet through every panel, TH Trix R Forkids tracked in second, popping from second before the three-quarters and breezing by to win by 3-3/4 lengths in 1:55.4. Kountry Clover (James MacDonald) was second and My Ghost (Louis-Philippe Roy) was third.
Owned by Glenn Bechtel of Stanhope, P.E.I., the daughter of Muscle Mass and the Trixton mare One Trix Pony won her first race in four tries, moving her bankroll to $12,400.
