Autumn Series action continued on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Flamboro Downs with a pair of $8,500 divisions of the second leg for Ontario-sired pacing fillies who were non-winners of $10,000 as of Sept. 30 highlighting the 10-race card.
Docs Love ($6.40) utilized a sustained first-over brush to score a convincing victory in the first division with driver Travis Cullen.
Docs Love got away fifth in the field of six early from the outside post while 6-5 favourite O Large Marge (Austin Sorrie) cut the quarter in :28.2. Cullen fed Docs Love racetrack from the backfield just beyond the half of :58.2, moving alongside the leader on the way to three-quarters in 1:27.4. O Large Marge gave way on the final turn, leaving Docs Love alone on the lead turning for home, pacing away to score by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:57.4. Allstar Willow (Travis Henry) finished second and Wine Delight (Brett MacDonald) finished third.
Jodie Cullen trains for owner Dr. Andrew Roberts, who bred the daughter of Hes Watching-Docs Hope. Docs Love has now won three of seven in her two-year-old campaign, banking $15,028 following the career-best effort.
Rollthebet ($6.50) backed up her victory in leg one, outdueling fellow leg one winner Boots N Bling to secure the victory with driver Austin Sorrie.
Sorrie got away fourth off the gate with Rollthebet while Boots N Bling (Brett MacDonald) grabbed command through a quarter of :28.3. Rollthebet moved first-over on the way to the half in :58.4, before being able to grab the pocket seat on the way to three-quarters in 1:27.2. After a brief tuck, Rollthebet went after the leader once more in the lane, surging past Boots N Bling to score by a half length in 1:57. I Dream Of Jeanie (Jean Bernard Renaud) finished third.
The three-year-old daughter of All Bets Off-Honor Roll is owned and trained by Rachel Andrew. Rollthebet has won four of seven races in 2024 and banked $18,330 lifetime.
