It has been announced that the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation has reached an agreement for a two-year extension to the operating agreement for its Hastings Racecourse property in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Via release, Hastings Racecourse General Manager Darren MacDonald stated that the extension of the operating agreement of the Thoroughbred raceway “enables us to continue to offer our guests at Hastings Racecourse live and simulcast racing as well as an exciting gaming experience. MacDonald also added that the extension “allows us to continue working with industry stakeholders towards a long-term, sustainable horse racing program at Hastings."
The release states that the extension will be effective to November 2016. The current operating agreement was due to expire in November 2014.
Hastings Racecourse has been operating at its current location for over 125 years.
