SJs Minolta used a quarter-pole move to make the lead, then held on late to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap - her second straight victory in
The Meadows’ top distaff trot.
SJs Minolta got away third but hustled to the front for Mike Wilder when the field settled. A :30.1 second-panel breather left her fresh enough to thwart the extended first-over bid of Rose Run Keepsake, but she had to dig in when BVs Sister charged at her in deep stretch. SJs Minolta defeated that rival by a head in 1:55, with Pilgrims Stunner third.
David Wade trains the four-year-old daughter of SJs Photo-TJs Royal Tigress and owns with Gerald Brittingham and Kelley Rogers.
Tony Hall and Dave Palone each drove four winners on the 15-race card while Wilder enjoyed a driving triple.
