Driver Bruce Richardson put the pedal to the metal with C Mary in Tuesday’s $8,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 at The Raceway at Western Fair District, and the distaffer never looked back en route to a handy score.
C Mary shot to the top from Post 1 and successfully sliced out splits of :28.3, :58.3 and 1:27 before scooting home in :29.1 for the 1:56.1 victory over Howmacfiesty and Alphabet Queen.
Tim Myers trains the three-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Sister Karen for owner/breeder J R Stables LLC of Clinton Twp, MI. The eight-time winner has registered seven of those wins this season. She’s banked just shy of $67,000 to date.
