Nuttin But Finesse Looks For More N.B. Success

Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, N.B. will host a six-dash card on Saturday, Oct. 25 with first post at 1 p.m. (ADT). Horse Racing New Brunswick will race this Saturday and next to close the curtain on the 2025 harness racing season.

Nuttin But Finesse leads the $2,000 Winners Over Pace but will have to contend to the outside post five. Mike Downey will drive for trainer Ellen Stevenson and owner Mitch Downey of Saint John, N.B.

Last week's winner, Whats Inthe Esky A and driver Colin Decourcey have post one. Robert Kitchen trains and Bala Stable of Skiff Lake, N.B. owns the pacer, who scored in 1:58.3 last week.

Ninoscredit ships in from Quebec and will have post two with Chuck You Farlie and Bet On Lucas rounding out the top class.

With two weeks to go, Gilles Barrieau is the leading driver at Connell Park Raceway with 12 wins but will not be in action in the final two weeks. Mike Downey sits with 11 winners on the year and is poised to win his first driving title in a few years at Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock. Colin Decourcey has nine wins going into Saturday and has a chance to make up some ground with drives in all six races. Downey will drive in three races on Saturday.
