Sassy Massy, by Muscle Mass, extended her win streak to three during Wednesday’s co-featured race at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
The four-year-old Cheryl Whitcroft trainee had recorded only one win in her first 26 starts this season before hitting a hot streak in October. Sassy Massy had grinded out consecutive first-over victories during Wednesday co-features for New York-sired trotters heading into her most recent start.
On Wednesday, driver Mark Whitcroft again moved Sassy Massy first-up approaching the half and she simply overpowered her competition en route to scoring in 2:00 for her third consecutive victory.

The afternoon’s other co-featured event for New York sired trotters was captured by Travel Winner (by Credit Winner), who won in 1:59 for driver Mike Beckwith and trainer Melissa Beckwith.
Live racing at Saratoga will continue on Thursday afternoon with a first post time of 12 noon. There will be a $5,000 guarantee in the Pick Five pool on Thursday. The Pick Five will begin in the matinee’s first race.
