World Champion and two-time divisional champion pacing filly See You At Peelers p,2,1:51.3f; 3,1:49.2f, a career winner of more than $1.5-million, has been sold.

The mare was purchased privately for an undisclosed price by Diamond Creek Farm of Paris, KY. See You At Peelers is presently carrying her first foal by Somebeachsomewhere, the year’s leading sire of two-year-old pacers.

In making today’s announcement, Diamond Creek owner and manager Adam Bowden said the acquisition of the popular mare fits perfectly into the farm’s continuing efforts to breed and sell at the very highest level.

“We feel we’ve developed--in a very short time--one of the best broodmare bands in the business,” Bowden said, “and this mare, when you hear she’s available, is one that you simply can’t overlook. She had a tremendous following during her racing career and I expect her foals to be just as popular when they enter the sales ring. To say the least, we’re thrilled to have her.”

See You At Peelers, a daughter of Bettors Delight-West Side Glory (by Western Ideal) was conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Jimmy Takter. She was bred by Jimmy’s wife Christina, who owned the mare along with partners John and Jim Fielding.

See You At Peelers’ 22-race win streak as a two and three year old was harness racing's fourth-longest over the last 20 years, and was accomplished against primarily stakes competition. She attracted attention within the sport and beyond, with stories appearing in publications including Sports Illustrated and the New York Times.

She was twice voted the Dan Patch Award as “Two-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year” in 2010 and “Three-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year” in 2011.

Undefeated as a freshman, her 13 wins were capped with a victory against the best of her age and gender in the $600,000 Breeders Crown Two-Year-Old Filly Pace at Pocono. She went on to win her first nine starts at three, including a world record score in the Empire Breeders Classic, a stakes record in the Fan Hanover and a win against the colts in the Art Rooney Memorial.

She won her first four races this year as a four-year-old in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series at Yonkers before a heart ailment--that also plagued her during her three-year-old season--would put an end to her racing career.

Upon her retirement from racing, Jimmy Takter said “See You At Peelers had charisma, like a great horse. She knew she was a great horse and carried herself with such pride when she went out on the track.”
