World Of Outlaws provided new owner and trainer Clifford McGuire of Belle River, Ont. with an immediate return on his investment as the four-year-old gelding put forth a winning effort in the $12,640 End Of Season Claiming Series Final Saturday night at Hiawatha Horse Park

The top nine contenders in the series faced off on Saturday with World Of Outlaws and driver Alfred Carroll clearing the lead past the :28.1 opening quarter. The son of World Harvest-Allamerican Toby carved out middle fractions of :58.3 and 1:27.2 en route to a one and a quarter length triumph in 1:57. J L Tiger (Robert Sparling Jr.) and Johnny Drama (Nick Steward) rallied three-wide past three-quarters to come on for second and third.
World Of Outlaws paid $4.60 to win as the bettor’s choice. McGuire claimed the gelding from the first leg of the series on Oct. 9 for $4,375. World Of Outlaws has won his last seven of eight starts and has visited the winner’s circle a total of nine times this year in 15 outings. He has banked $22,669 of his $53,883 bankroll in 2010.
Vegas Venom and driver Alex Lilley edged out Quick View (Don Rankin Jr.) to win the $6,760 consolation in 1:57.4. The four-year-old son of Modern Art-Stylish Viking is trained by Randy Marriage for owner Jerry Boeve of Ayton, Ont.
