Trainer/driver Rod Therres put the pedal to the metal with Rockin Mystery in Thursday’s $12,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Fraser Downs, and once she cleared to the top it was game over for the others.

Rockin Mystery powered out from Post 4 and had the field lined up behind her past the quarter pole in :28. She then threw down middle panels of :57 and 1:27.2 before sprinting home in :28 to win by a half-length margin over Mrs Suhwiggins in 1:55.2. Race favourite Moosette grabbed the show dough in the five-mare affair.

The five-year-old daughter of Mystery Chase-Cant Stop Rockin, who races for owner Blair Miller of Langley, B.C., has racked up 19 wins over the course of her career. She’s also managed to bank in excess of $328,000 along the way.
