Northville Downs received a setback in its long legal battle against Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and
attorney general Michael Cox.
The legal battle challenged a 2004 vote, backed by Detroit casinos, which required a statewide as well as local vote for changes in state law which would have paved the way for slots at racetracks.
The U.S. Court of Appeals declined to overturn a federal district court ruling.
No decision has been made as of yet on a U.S. Supreme Court appeal.
