There was nearly $2 million handed out in the eight OSS Super Final races on Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, but also at stake were the results of the 2nd annual COSA Fantasy Stable Contest, brought to you by the Central Ontario Standardbred Association and administered by TROT Magazine and Standardbred Canada.
After hundreds of OSS races during the year, the contest actually came down to the final event of the season — the three-year-old filly trot. When the dust settled in that event it was Doug McNair and the John Bax-trained Up And Ready hitting the wire first, along with Tyler MacKendrick's 'Before And Way Before Stables'.
MacKendrick, from Whitby, Ont., captured the Grand Prize of a night in the private suite at Woodbine Mohawk Park along with $1,500 in food and beverage and $2,500 in betting vouchers. You can read more about our winner in the upcoming November issue of TROT Magazine.
