The Autumn Series continued on Monday, Oct. 20 at The Raceway at Western Fair District, with Islamabad delivering her second consecutive front-end victory in the lone $8,500 division.

A field of seven Ontario-sired pacing fillies who were non winners of $10,000 lifetime as of Sept. 30 went postward where Islamabad and Austin Sorrie were saddled with the outside post seven. Sorrie wasted no time getting the 1-5 favourite pointed towards the front, initially landing in the pocket behind fellow leg one winner, Century Moo (Dale Spence), before moving around that foe just before the quarter of :28.4. Islamabad remained a loose leader to the half in :59 before Century Moo took a peek from behind the leader at three-quarters in 1:28.2. Century Moo raced at the leader's wheel around the far turn before being repelled by Islamabad in the stretch, as she coasted to a 2-1/4-length victory in 1:59. Century Moo held for second, with Heads Carolina (Garrett Rooney) in third, six lengths back of the winner.

Trained by Gerard Demers, Islamabad has won five of 18 starts on the year while earning $18,275. The three-year-old daughter of Stag Party-Rainbow Palace was bred by Francis Picard of Warwick, Que., who also co-owns along with Claude Thibault of St. Eustache, Que.
