New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program has announced that Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Howard Taylor and Adam Bowden have once again committed a percentage of their Breeders Crown earnings to its Standardbred aftercare efforts.
“The Breeders Crown raises a lot of money for a variety of charities, but none of them is for our horses,” said Mickey Burke Sr. “I want to challenge everyone who is fortunate enough to have a horse racing in the Breeders Crown to pledge a small percentage of their earnings. It can be any amount, just make the commitment. It’s important to give back to the horses that support us!”
“We are ever grateful to the owners, trainers and drivers that support this fundraising effort,” said Dot Morgan, Executive Director of New Vocations. “Every dollar raised goes to rehabilitate, retrain and rehome retired Standardbred racehorses.”
Please contact Dot Morgan at 937-205-4667 or [email protected], or Winnie Nemeth at 734-320-7919 or [email protected] to pledge a percentage or flat amount. New Vocations will conveniently invoice those who have made pledges a few weeks following the race. Donations can also be made at newvocations.org.
