RUS Ontario will wrap up its season with a $15,000 affair during Friday evening’s card of racing at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

As part of the evening’s promotion, RUS Ontario is happy to have Compressor Engineering Group INC on hand in the Top of the Fair dining room as the RUS race sponsor. RUS Ontario is planning a meet and greet in the grandstand with riders after Race Three in addition to a t-shirt toss to the grandstand.

Seven starters will go postward in the event including Lexis D J, who is owned and trained by Shane Arsenault. The 7-5 favourite, who has drawn post position three, will be ridden by Swedish monté rider Stephanie Werder. She is here on behalf of her sponsor, Trot Tracker.

Dave Boughton owns and trains Osprey Vision who will be ridden by Amber Lawson-Brand, who is fresh off a RUS win in Leamington.

Southwind Alice, trained by David Dowling will once again be partnered with Evelyn Harms. The pair has already scored three RUS wins in 2016.

Massive Muscles, winless on the RUS circuit this year, trained by Paul Walker and ridden by Sophie Engerran will start from post position six.

Gracies Harmony, a longshot winner of the Industry Day RUS race at Grand River, has drawn Post 4 for trainer Jim Tropea and regular rider Marielle Enberg.

Rounding out the field are Don Wan Veeba, trained by Greg Campbell and ridden by Karoline Nielson; and Callie Magoo, who is owned and trained by John Braid and will be ridden by last year’s leading rider, Natalie Elliott.

Post time for the first race is 7:05 p.m. and the RUS Finale will go postward
