Sent postward as the longest shot on the board at odds of 14-1, Presidential Rage pulled off the upset victory in Northside Downs' top pacing class on Saturday afternoon

Presidential Rage and driver David Kelly wore down favourite Junebugs Baby and Fraser Turnbull to win the $1,300 Winners Over Pace by a neck in 1:56.3. Barefoot Contessa and Greg Bailey were third-placed-fifth for causing interference at the half. J N J and Bruce McGean inherited the show spot with Macnamarra, driven by Colin Kelly, moving up into fourth.

The class-climbing six-year-old gelding earned his third in a row for trainer and owner John R. Campbell of New Waterford, N.S.

The win payout was $31.70.
