Part Shark sunk his chompers into the eight foes he squared off with in Thursday’s featured $12,000 Preferred #2 Pace at Kawartha Downs, and in doing so he racked up the 21st victory of his career.

The five-year-old son of Four Starzzz Shark-Pop Art, who started from the second tier, brushed to the lead shortly past the quarter pole, and after slicing out middle panels of :57 and 1:24.4 he lumbered home in :30.2 to post a neck decision over The Machster in 1:55.1. Zambuca Gass closed from far back to grab third prize.

Billy Davis, Jr. mapped out the winning trip for Part Shark, who pulled off the 9-2 upset for trainer Wayne Preszcator. The career winner of $309,610 is owned by the Secret Weapon Stables of Waterloo, ON.
