The auction for the last Pennsylvania harness racing license will take place today (Wednesday, October 20), but according to a report, the results of the auction may not be known until some
time next week.
An article by the Beaver County Times explains that an unnamed New York City-based financial firm is running the auction.
If the court eventually declares a winning bidder, that company would have until the end of this year to apply for a license to be used at the Mahoning Township site.

It was reported earlier this month by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Centaur Inc., who holds the gaming license for the proposed Valley View Downs, had received multiple offers to take over the project.
