A trio of talented fillies which have combined for 10 wins this season will square off in the second of three divisions as the Orchid-Pelican Trotting Series continues on the Wednesday, October 21 program at Pompano Park.

The series continues with two divisions of freshmen trotting fillies and one of trotting colts and geldings, the first three races on the card.

Pocohontas Fame, a two-year-old daughter of Famously out of the Pine Chip mare Native Pine, is in the midst of a six-race winning streak. Trained by Bob Roberts, the filly is driven by Hall of Famer Wally Hennessey and will leave from Post 3. Pocohontas Fame is owned and bred by Amante Standardbreds of Delray Beach.

She will be challenged by Joy Lancaster & Joan Harp’s Jeanie Marie, a two-time winner this season. A daughter of Famously out of Lindy Lane mare Vite Vite Kosmos, Jeanie Marie is driven and trained by Warren Harp.

Also expected to challenge is the James Martin-owned and trained Evening Attire. The two-year-old daughter of Feel Like A Winner out of the Darvin mare OKs Miss Caroline will leave from Post 4. The two-time winner will be driven by Steve Oliwa.

Harness racing is currently being contested at Pompano Park on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights with a 7:05 p.m. first-race post time.
