Barrie Ford Summit Series Starts

The Barrie Ford Summit Series for $6,000 claiming trotters kicked off on Saturday night at Georgian Downs with driver Anthony Haughan guiding a pair of winners to victory

Haughan guided the Joe Agostino-trained mare Spurofthehauer to victory in 2:00 along with one of the fastest winners from the seven $4,800 divisions, Delcrest Mr Joe. The Paul Ruhl trainee went wire-to-wire to win in a career-best 1:59.2.

Raise E Daisy also won her division in 1:59.2 in front-stepping fashion for driver Simon Allard and his brother, trainer Rene Allard.

The other winners included: Royalton (2:00.3) and Mark Etsell; Chip Chip Booshay (2:00) and J.R. Plante; J H Spur (2:00) and Matt Dupuis; and Tijuana Tag (2:00.2) and Mike Whelan.

Sunday's card will feature multiple divisions of the Barrie Ford Summit Series for pacers.
