Ontario Sires Stakes champion three-year-old male pacer Moment Is Here will have new connections going forward after being sold online on Thursday, Oct. 19, with a six-figure winning bid.
The Bob McIntosh homebred was purchased for $285,500 USD by Mark Weaver via OnGait.
A career winner of seven races with 15 other top three finishes from 30 starts, the All Bets Off-Breathtacular gelding has earned $686,721 in his career and sports a lifetime mark of 1:49, taken earlier this year at Woodbine Mohawk Park. His sophomore highlights include winning an elimination heat of the Little Brown Jug followed by a fourth-place finish in the final and his latest victory in the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final on Oct. 14.
Moment Is Here was sold by the ownership group of Robert McIntosh Stables Inc., Al McIntosh Holdings Inc., Frank Baldachino and Mardon Stables.
Weaver also purchased the McIntosh-campaigned three-year-old pacing filly Big Big Plans for $72,000 USD during Thursday's online auctions. The daughter of All Bets Off-Somethinincredible won the Battle of Belles as a two-year-old and has earned more than $300,000 in purses lifetime for Robert McIntosh Stables Inc., Mardon Stables and Dave Boyle.
"The first thing I do every afternoon when I get up is check the new listings at onGait. When I saw a couple of very nice All Bets Offs available, I was hoping we would end up with them," Weaver, who shares ownership of Ontario stallion All Bets Off, told onGait. "In a year that Sweet Lou has confirmed he's the best sire on the planet, All Bets Off has also shown he is more than capable of carrying the torch for Bettors Delight. Can't wait to see them race."
Both Moment Is Here and Big Big Plans will join the Ron Burke stable.
