.
Highland Rocks, a three-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Falcons Secret, marched right to the lead from his Post 7 perch and successfully chopped out splits of :27, :56.4 and 1:24.4 for driver Mike Langdon before scooting home in :28.2 to post the 1:53.1 victory. It was 9-1/2 lengths back to runner-up M G Home Run, and another half-length to third-place finisher Classicandregal.
Sent off as the 1-5 choice in the $11,000 conditioned event, Highland Rocks, who was unraced as a rookie, pushed his earnings to $33,000 for owner Pat Ryan of London, ON.
The pacer is one of many racehorses entered to sell later this fall at the mixed portion of the Harrisburg Yearling Sale. Highland Rocks will sell as Hip #2132 during the session on Saturday, November 13.
