Breeders Crown winner Dreamfair Eternal is one of the 10 pacing mares that has been entered to contest Western Fair Raceway's Forest City Pace eliminations, which will take place Saturday, October 23 during what will be the richest card in the history of the track.

In addition to hosting the two $15,000 Forest City elims, Saturday’s card at the London, Ont. half-mile oval will also include the eight $100,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Finals and three $7,500 divisions of the Middlesex County Series.

Owned by breeder John Lamers of nearby Ingersoll, Ont., Dreamfair Eternal is heading into Saturday’s contest riding a three-race winning streak. The six-year-old daughter of Camluck recently triumphed in the $300,000 Breeders Crown Mare Pace at Pocono Downs. Before that she had swept the Milton Stakes at Mohawk Racetrack.

“She’s a great mare to drive; I’ve said all along if I wasn’t married and she wasn’t a horse, I’d marry her,” her driver Randy Waples quipped after the Breeders Crown victory.

Dreamfair Eternal has drawn Post 2 in the first elim, which has been carded as Race 1 on Saturday’s stake-laden program.

A Ps Money Maker, who recently set a track record at Mohawk, has drawn the rail for the first elim. Rick Zeron will perform the driving duties for trainer Travis Umphrey.

The second elim has been carded as Race 6 and will feature Voelz Hanover, who was the runner-up to Dreamfair Eternal in the Breeders Crown. The five-year-old daughter of Astreos has earnings of $237,000 and $899,514 lifetime for owner Richard Berthiaume of Quebec.

The top four finishers from each elim will return to contest the $167,000 final on October 30. The Forest City Pace was established last year as the distaff companion race to Western Fair’s signature event, the Molson Pace.
