Silver Dragon was the star of the Saturday afternoon card at Northside Downs as he defeated the top pacers on the grounds for local horseman David Ratchford.
Silver Dragon prevailed in the $1,100 feature race from off-the-pace over the 'good' track in 2:00.2 with Junebugs Baby coming in second and Surrealist finishing third. The nine-year-old Dragon Again gelding is a 32-time winner in his career and earned his sixth victory of the season in 24 starts.
Carey Romeo Jr. led all drivers on Saturday with three winners on the 12-race card, including Metro Man in a $1,500 claiming series. The other series division was won by Waterside Lucky and Colin Kelly, who had a driving double on the day.
