The Forest City Yearling Sale concluded on Sunday, October 18 at the Western Fair Agriplex
in London, Ont.
With 97 yearlings sold in the first session, the average price for the first session was $24,974. That average dropped noticeably in the second session as the overall average for the sale was a healthy $19,942.
Three horses from the first session - Hip No. 38 Stonebridge Rocket, Hip No. 72 Stonebridge Ballad, and Hip No. 88 Tymal Halo - were the co-sale toppers at $70,000. After fetching $65,000 from Frank O'Reilly acting as agent, Angus Hall trotting filly Glitterbdancing topped the second session.
