Lying In Cash scored his third straight win at Northville Downs top class with a 1:55.2 victory in the $10,800 Open Pace on Saturday evening (Oct. 15).
Driver Jason Merriman and Lying In Cash left fast off the car to settle into the pocket behind pacesetter Big Bang Boom and driver Marc St. Louis Jr., who looked to have stolen the race at the :57.2 half; a second quarter breather of :29.4. However, after posting a third panel in 28.4, Big Bang Boom turned for home only to brace for the coming onslaught of Lying In Cash, the pocket rocket. The aforementioned pacesetter had no response in the lane as Lying In Cash cruised home to a two-length victory.
Lying In Cash is conditioned by owner-trainer Techia Lohmann. It was the 26th career victory for the pacing gelding by Aracache Hanover.
