Beach Runner A M became the winningest horse at the Hippodrome 3R this season on Sunday (October 16), leading from start to finish for driver Mario Charron in the 10th race feature over a sloppy, rain-soaked track.
The 2:00 victory was the seventh win this season at 3R for the nine-year-old gelding by Beach Of Faith and his eighth win on the year. He is trained, owned and was bred Alain Martin of Gatineau, Que. Beach Runner A M paid $4.80 to win.
The seventh victory at 3R this year by Beach Runner A M broke a tie with St Kitts and Holiday Party as the winningest horse this meet.
Yves Tessier has a training triple during the 11-race card, scoring wins with Strokin (Stephane Gendron), Force Seelster (Stephane Brosseau) and Uncle Freddie (Pierre Luc Roy).
In addition to assisting Tessier with his hat-trick, Roy drove seven-year-old pacing gelding Carsons Camelot to a 1:59.2 victory to give Stephane Hubert his first training win.
Gendron drove three winners on the afternoon program.
