Rideau Carleton Raceway's leading driver John MacDonald dominated Sunday's 15-race program and he kicked off his winning ways right out of the starting gate

MacDonald, who won four races during each of the Thursday and Friday night programs, swept Sunday's early Daily Double with the Mike Armstrong-trained Ec Speedy Jet ($7.40) and Pumped And Glidin ($4.50) for Gary McDonald. MacDonald made it three in a row with Serge Nadeau's wire-to-wire winner Ferrari Sena ($19.80). After hitting the board a couple more times, MacDonald made it to the winner's circle with the Lesley Newland-conditioned Nocturnal ($27.80) in the 10th race. J V S Ring ($3.90) completed his five-bagger and gave McDonald a training double.
The resident of Russell, Ont. currently sits seventh in the national leaderboard for wins this year. He has won 255 races while banking over $1.37 million in purses.
